Install DCS World and SRS
DCS World is free. The Syria server needs the Syria map module; the Caucasus map comes free with the game. Aircraft: the free Su-25T and TF-51D or any module you own.
SRS (SimpleRadio Standalone) is the in-cockpit voice radio. Without it neither your wingman nor the controller can hear you.

- DCS: Multiplayer → “Connect by IP” → paste the server address → Connect.
- SRS: start the SRS client → paste the SRS address into the server field → Connect. The radio comes alive once you are in the cockpit.

Your first sortie
- Pick a side (red or blue) and a free slot at an airfield.
- In the cockpit open F10 → Settings → Website code — this links your profile and stats to your pilot.
- Check the map for where the front is now and fly where help is needed.
- You start with 0 influence. You will get a short memo and a first task right away: destroy 2 enemy targets or deliver cargo/troops. Your first 5 XP bring a personal thank-you, a one-step promotion and +30 influence.
